2026 Japan Visa Online Appointment for JVAC by VFS Global
Want to schedule a Japan visa appointment via Japan Visa Application Center (JVAC) by VFS Global? Read on!
Previously, we applied for a Japan tourist visa via an accredited travel agency and were granted a single-entry Japan visa. In 2025, the Japan Embassy announced that all Japan visa applications for Filipinos must be coursed through the Japan Visa Application Center (JVAC) by VFS Global.
Do note that for every Japan visa application, JVAC collects a service fee of ₱520. Check the complete list of JVAC service fees.

How to book a Japan visa appointment for JVAC by VFS Global
If you’re visiting Japan soon and would like to schedule a JVAC appointment, we’ve gone through the process ourselves to give you this step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Visit VFS Global official website


To book an appointment, visit VFS Global appointment portal and click “Book now”.
Step 2: Create an account and log-in


If you don’t have a VFS Global account yet, you need to register first.
Click on “I don’t have an account” (lower right) and proceed to register an account with your email, password, and mobile number.
VFS Global will send an email notification confirming your new account. Click on “ActivateAccount” linked on the email to verify your account.
After email activation, log-in to your account.
Step 3: Enter appointment details


On your dashboard, click “Start New Booking” and enter your appointment details:

- A. Tourism
- B. Others
Sub-Category:
- Multiple Entry-Visa for Cultural or Intellectual Figures
- Multiple Entry-Visa for a Frequent Traveler
- Multiple Entry Temporary Visitor Visa (Filipinos with Considerable Financial Capacity)
- Packaged Tour arranged by Registered Travel Agency
- Tourism
Step 4: Enter your personal information


Enter your personal information, including your complete name, gender, birth date, nationality, passport number and expiry, contact number, and email address.
Step 5: Book an appointment


To book your appointment, select the needed fields, including the appointment type, preferred date, and time slot.
Step 6: Select additional services


Select any additional services you wish to avail such as premium lounge, courier, auto call back, and printing, among others. See complete list of fees for VFS Global additional services.
Step 7: Review and pay


Read the payment disclaimer and click “Continue” to pay using your VISA or MasterCard credit card.
Step 8: Save and print your appointment letter


After payment, you will receive an acknowledgment with your transaction summary and appointment details.
VFS Global will also email you an appointment confirmation with a PDF file of your Appointment Letter. Print this and bring it together with your Japan visa documents on your scheduled JVAC appointment date.
Friendly reminders and tips


- Arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment schedule.
- Put all your documents in a transparent envelope or plastic bag. All other bags such as travel bags, backpacks, or cloth bags are NOT allowed.
- You can use your mobile phone provided it is on silent mode when entering the center.
- All electronic items, including laptops, cameras, and other devices are NOT allowed.
- Photography, filming, and audio recording are NOT allowed.
- Sharp objects and weapons are strictly prohibited.
- Be professional and dress appropriately.
- Bring extra valid IDs in case the building security needs you to show one.
