2. Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary


The Philippine Tarsier has put Bohol on the world map. While seeing the tarsiers up close is one of the top things to do in Bohol, you should be aware that these tiny nocturnal creatures are already considered near threatened. Hence, we should all be responsible when visiting their habitats.
There are controversies surrounding the tarsier attraction in Loboc, so it is highly encouraged that you visit the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella, Bohol instead. It is run by the Philippine Tarsier Foundation, Incorporated (PTFI), which officially manages the Philippine tarsier conservation and provides sustainable living conditions for these endemic primates.

3. Habitat Bohol


Another Bohol tourist spot for nature lovers is Habitat Bohol. While the butterfly enclosure has been closed since 2020, you’ll still spot different species of butterflies and birds in this geo park as you engage in a ZONA walk, a form of forest bathing with Qigong.

4. Hinagdanan Cave


Enter an otherworldly realm at Hinagdanan Cave on Bohol’s Panglao Island. Hagdan is the Bisaya term for stairs, hence you can find a staircase that leads you to the naturally lit cavern.

10. Bilar Man-Made Forest


The Bilar Man-Made Forest or Bohol Mahogany Forest is one of the top Bohol tourist sites and almost always included in any Bohol tour. This two-kilometer stretch of dense mahogany forest was part of a reforestation project many years ago.
As you stop by here, remember to pause, feel the breeze, and observe the surrounding nature aside from taking IG-worthy snaps.

11. Bamboo Hanging Bridge


Are you brave enough to cross this hanging bridge over Bohol’s Sipatan River? With a height of about 25 meters, the Bamboo Hanging Bridge, also known as the Sipatan Twin Hanging Bridge, is not as high as it looks. But of course, this one’s not for those with a fear of heights.
In July 2023, this Bohol attraction was restored and reopened to the public after being destroyed by Super Typhoon Odette in Dec 2021.

12. Baclayon Church


Built in 1727, Baclayon Church is one of the oldest stone churches in the Philippines. It was severely damaged after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Bohol in 2013. The National Museum of the Philippines reconstructed and restored it so you can now see its grandeur again.

13. Blood Compact Monument


The Blood Compact Monument, also referred to as the Sandugo Shrine, is the actual site where Rajah Sikatuna and Miguel Lopez de Legaspi performed the sandugo (blood compact) on 16 March 1565. It symbolized the friendship and peace between the foreigners and the natives at the time.
This historical site is free to visit so it’s worth adding in your Bohol itinerary.
