Thankfully, our good friend helped us navigate and bought the AREX Incheon to Seoul tickets for us. What’s the best Incheon Airport to Seoul transport?
There are different ways to get to Seoul from Incheon Airport, depending on your budget, needs, and travel preferences. We’ve listed your options below:
1. AREX (Airport Railroad Express) train
The Airport Railroad Express train, popularly known as AREX, is the fastest way to reach Seoul from Incheon Airport. To be exact, it only takes 43-51 minutes if you ride the non-stop express train from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station.
Express Train (Non-Stop)
This is a non-stop train that takes you directly from Incheon Airport to Seoul. If you want fast transport from Incheon Airport, we recommend you take the AREX Express Train.
- Travel time: 43 mins (Incheon Airport T1); 51 mins (Incheon Airport T2)
- Operating hours: 5.15am to 10.40pm
- Schedule: Departs every 20-40 mins
- Fare: ₩11,000 (adult); ₩8,000 (children, senior, PWD)

- Express Train Ticket Booth (Incheon Airport Terminal 1 & 2; Seoul Station)

Local Train (All-Stop)
This train stops at every station so it will take longer for you to arrive in Seoul. But if you don’t mind the subway stops to save more, we suggest you take this local train.
- Travel time: 59 mins (Incheon Airport T1); 66 mins (Incheon Airport T2)
- Operating hours: 5.30am to 12am (depending on subway station)
- Schedule: Departs every 5-10 mins
- Fare: ₩4,150 – ₩4,750 (depending on your stop)
- Where to buy tickets:
- Single-use transportation cards at in-station ticket vending machines
- Season pass at in-station Information Center
- Prepaid transport cards like the T-Money card from convenience stores
2. Airport limousine bus
The airport limousine bus takes you to the main areas in Seoul including hotels and tourist attractions. We recommend this Incheon airport transport if you don’t want to lug your baggage around, especially in subway stations.
- Travel time: 60 – 80 mins (depending on route and traffic situation)
- Operating hours: 12.30am – 11.30pm (depends on bus operator)

- Fare: ₩5,500 – ₩18,000 (depending on bus operator)

3. Taxi
If you want more privacy and convenience, you can take a taxi instead. Taxis are available outside the airport 24/7 and come in different types including regular, deluxe, jumbo, and international taxis.

- Schedule: Anytime

4. Private transfers
