10. Hotel The Artist Dongdaemun

We stayed at Hotel The Artist Dongdaemun on our spring trip to Korea, so we can recommend it as a good place to stay in Seoul if you want to experience a different kind of neighborhood.

There are local cafes, restaurants, and a shopping street nearby. Plus, it’s just a short walk to the MRT station, so you can easily reach other parts of Seoul.

We arrived late at night, and check-in was such a breeze. But if we were to nitpick one thing, it was adjusting the heater/aircon since the labels were in Korean. Luckily, we had a friend who translated and helped us with it. Other than that, everything was perfect for us — from the polished rooms with an industrial design to the polite staff.
