Had we known about the Discover Seoul Pass (DSP) prior to our Korea winter and spring trips, we would have purchased it beforehand. But it’s not too late for you!
With this Korea tourist pass, all foreign travelers to South Korea can enjoy FREE or discounted access to top Korea attractions and activities including Lotte World, N Seoul Tower, Nami Island, hanbok rentals, and so much more! Plus, it already serves as a Korea transport card that you can top-up and use without expiry.
Now, let’s spell out everything so you know if you should get the Discover Seoul Pass on your trip to Korea.
What is a Discover Seoul Pass?
The Discover Seoul Pass is a sort of “free pass”, allowing you to gain access to top Korea tourist attractions for free or at a discounted price. The card itself also serves as a T-Money Card where you can load up to pay for public transport in Korea even after the DSP expiry. On top of that, you also get to enjoy discounts in shopping and other activities in Seoul and beyond.
How much does it cost?
The price varies depending on the validity you choose: 24 hours (1 day), 48 hours (2 days), 72 hours (3 days) or 120 hours (5 days) – Mobile Pass Only. See price list below:

Where can I buy the Discover Seoul Pass?
To avoid inconvenience, we suggest that you buy your Discover Seoul Pass before your trip to Korea. You can reserve your pass on their official website and booking platforms like Klook and GetYourGuide. Then, select your pick-up date and location.
Once you get your online voucher, you may need to present it together with your passport to claim the physical card at the following pick-up locations:

- Gimhae International Airport
- Myeongdong Tourist Information Center
- Seoul Tourism Plaza Tourist Information Center

Can we buy Discover Seoul Pass at the airport?
Yes, you can buy your Discover Seoul Pass at the airport in Korea, particularly at Incheon Airport. If you failed to make an online reservation, you can still buy this Korea tourist card directly from these designated sales outlets in Seoul:

- Dongdaemun Tourist Information Center
- Seoul Tourism Plaza Tourist Information Center
- Incheon Airport T1 1F Bookstore and 3F Bookstore
- Incheon Airport T2 3F Bookstore

If the locations are inaccessible to you, you may still opt for a Discover Seoul Pass mobile pass from any CU convenience store and use it via the mobile app.

If you bought the 72-hour pass, it’ll only cost you ₩90,000 (US$68 / ₱3,800) instead of ₩206,600 (US$156 / ₱8,700) to experience all the attractions listed above. Can you imagine how much you actually saved? A whopping ₩116,600 (US$88 / ₱4,900) — that’s way more than the price of the 72-hour pass.
Although realistically speaking, it will be challenging to visit all these attractions in 3 days. Still, if we try to make a more realistic Korea 3-day itinerary out of all these attractions, we can still enjoy great savings.

With our sample itinerary, the estimated total cost for 3 days is ₩158,900 if you pay all the admission fees independently. But with the Discover Seoul Pass, you will only pay all these for ₩90,000 including the AREX ticket and Korea SKT SIM, which are also free with the pass.

When does this tourist pass expire?
If unused, the Discover Seoul Pass expires after 5 years from the date of issue. To know the expiration date of the card, use this online expiration date checker. But as a transportation card, it does NOT expire. In fact, you may still load it up like a T-Money Card to pay for public transportation including trains and buses across South Korea.
How to top up the pass as a transport card?
