2024 Philippine Holidays & Long Weekends Calendar to Plan Your Travels

Every year, we always look forward to the official list of holidays and long weekends in the Philippines so we can plan our travels and life ganaps (events) accordingly. On 13 Oct 2023, Malacañang announced the list of 2024 Philippine holidays under Proclamation No. 368 signed by the president.

There are a total of 20 Philippine holidays in 2024 with 12 regular holidays (including Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha) and 8 special non-working holidays.

There are 6 long weekend holidays, but if you take vacation leaves on sandwiched dates, you can enjoy 10 long weekends in total.

  • On 15 Aug 2024, President Marcos moves Ninoy Aquino Day from 21 Aug 2024 (Wed) to 23 Aug 2024 (Fri).
  • On 5 June 2024, Malacañang officially declared 17 June 2024 as a regular holiday for Eid’l Adha.
  • On 4 Apr 2024, Malacañang officially declared 10 April 2024 as a regular holiday for Eid’l Fitr.
  • On 19 Jan 2024, Malacañang declared 9 Feb 2024 as an additional special non-working holiday for the Chinese New Year celebration.
  • The EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary, which happens every 25 Feb is no longer included in the list of special non-working holidays in the Philippines in 2024.
