Where to stay in Cebu City
Before anything else, you should know that the resorts and hotels in Cebu City are scattered in different strategic areas. The best place to stay in Cebu City largely depends on your interests and needs. However, we recommend that first-timers stay in business districts such as IT Park and Cebu Business Park (Ayala) for convenience and accessibility.
In these areas, you’ll have easy access to business establishments, shopping malls, local cafes, and restaurants where you can sample some must-try Cebuano food like lechon.
Cebu City hotels near IT Park
Cebu IT Park is a 27-hectare business district known for its IT and BPO offices, a wide range of dining options including Sugbo Mercado, and many hangout places. It’s also where you’ll find Ayala Central Bloc, which is one of the newer malls in Cebu. Staying here would be great if you want to stay close to modern comforts.
1. Seda Central Bloc Cebu
There’s no better place to stay in IT Park than Seda Central Bloc. This modern hotel in Cebu City is located right in the middle of the business district with direct access to Ayala Malls Central Bloc on the 5th floor.
We stayed here before, and we commend their new clean rooms and luxe amenities including a rooftop pool, a bar, and a state-of-the-art gym. But we particularly like the buffet breakfast at their Misto Restaurant.

Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino is one of the iconic hotels in Cebu City with a grand casino. It is just a stone’s throw away from IT Park and it’s hard to miss it when passing by Salinas Drive with its white castle-like structure.
The hotel’s Convention Center with function rooms and grand ballrooms is a popular events venue, especially for concerts and exhibitions. In fact, we attended prom nights and awards ceremonies here a couple of times.

We stayed in their Deluxe Sea View room and we couldn’t be happier with the panoramic view of Metro Cebu. Plus, their customer service is truly exceptional.

What we like here is their rooftop cafe and bar where you can enjoy sumptuous Japanese and global cuisines. Our favorite from their menu is the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen.

Like most of the guest reviews, we like Seda hotel for its great location. It is right next to Ayala Center Cebu, one of the largest and most established Cebu malls where you can shop, dine or hang out with friends.
