Good news to all those who are looking forward to the 2025 Philippine holidays and long weekends!

On 30 Oct 2024, Malacañang released the official list of 2025 Philippine holidays under Proclamation No. 727 signed by the president.

There are a total of 21 PH holidays in 2025, with 12 regular holidays (including Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha) and 9 special (non-working) holidays.

  • EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary is only a special (working) day, which means it’s business as usual without an obligation for an additional pay for workers.

2025 Long Weekends in the Philippines

There are officially 7 long weekends in the Philippines in 2025, but if you take vacation leaves on sandwiched dates, you can enjoy a total of 12 long weekends.

*Do note that this still does not include the Muslim holiday Eid’l Adha, which will be announced soon!

You only need to file for a 1 day leave on 22 Aug 2025 (between Ninoy Aquino Day and National Heroes Day) to extend the long weekend to 5 days.

In addition, you only have to file for 2 days leave to take advantage of the super long weekend in December, making you enjoy a total of 9 days off. Your Christmas vacation starts from 24 Dec 2025 until 1 Jan 2026. How awesome is that?
